Stoked for the Summer 2024 Takes Over the Stone Pony Summer Stage
July at the Jersey Shore is known for many things—hot weather, lots of bennies, great beach days, barbecues, and fireworks. But the best tradition by far is The Bouncing Souls’ Stoked for the Summer at the Stone Pony Summer Stage. And the annual celebration of music, friends, and family delivered once again. The Souls crushed their set, playing their greatest hits and fan favorites while the crowd sang, surfed, and moshed.
This year’s lineup featured some old school punk and ska in The Vandals, The Dead Milkmen and Catch 22. Sheer Mag added a dash of hard rock, and Asbury Park favorites Des & The Swagmatics provided a little bit of R&B and soul. Not bad way to spend a summer night down the shore.

Michael is an Asbury Park based photographer of what life puts in front of him. He snuck his camera into a concert for the first time in 2011 when he went to see Soundgarden on their reunion tour. Two of those shots ended up being published in Photofantasm Soundgarden: Nudedragons to King Animal, and he has been bringing his cameras to shows ever since. He relocated to Asbury in 2019 for its rich music and art scenes...and to save on tolls! He is a big supporter of the local music scene and has become well known amongst the bands for his photos. Michael is also a regular vendor at the Asbury Park Punk Rock Flea Market and can be found selling his prints at a variety of local markets.
