Legendary STYX Delivers Unforgettable Show at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion
STYX came out swinging at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, NJ, on their Renegades & Juke Box Heroes tour and gave their fans exactly what they wanted.
The current lineup, featuring legendary virtuoso guitarist Tommy Shaw, Lawrence Gowan on keyboards, James “J.Y.” Young on guitar and backing vocals, Chuck Panozzo on bass, Will Evankovich on guitar and backing vocals, Todd Sucherman on drums, and Terry Gowan on bass and backing vocals, solidified to everyone that the band is as tight as ever, with everyone at the top of their game. Shaw and Young had the vocal skills for the job, hitting the notes with ease. Both were remarkably in form tonight. Every song from their 13-hit setlist was performed with the same energy and passion that first captivated audiences in the late '70s.
With a rich history, a catalog of timeless hits, and a devotion to delivering unforgettable live performances, STYX has solidified their place as one of the best rock bands in the history of rock 'n' roll music. They proved why they are regarded as among the finest practitioners of the genre. Their stage presence is both energetic and engaging, proving that they still know how to rock.
