Myles Kennedy, Tim Montana & Sons of Silver Deliver a Rock & Roll Powerhouse at The Stone Pony
It was a night of classic rock filled with all the passion, grit, and energy a rock fan could ask for when Myles Kennedy commandeered The Stone Pony stage, supported by Tim Montana and Sons of Silver.
Out of the gate, Sons of Silver delivered a raucous and energetic set to start the evening, lighting up the stage with tight musicianship, raw intensity, and a setlist that kept the crowd engaged from the first note to the last.
Tim Montana and his backing band lit the stage on fire. Their set was equally entertaining between the soulful, heartfelt performance and Tim's incredible stories about his childhood struggles, poverty, and eventual success with music. His stories about his bandmates were equally engaging, adding a deeply personal and humorous touch that made this set extra special and memorable. Beyond the storytelling, the band’s chemistry was undeniable—seamlessly blending Southern rock, country grit, and outlaw attitude into a sound that felt both raw and polished. Montana’s guitar work was gritty yet melodic, punctuated by searing solos and bluesy licks.
Myles Kennedy, supporting his latest album The Art of Letting Go, is the epitome of rock and roll. He effortlessly exudes that "cool cat" vibe that sets you up for an elite rock experience. Kennedy's voice is unique in its richness, inflection, and sheer emotive power which shone through during “Miss You When You’re Gone” and “Love Can Only Heal.” He seamlessly carries every note with a weight that few can match. “In Stride” and “Nothing More To Gain” demonstrated Myles’ exceptional guitar playing, proving he should be recognized as one of the greats with his exquisite tone and technical acumen. It was a sold-out, packed crowd, and the audience drank up every minute of his performance, fully immersed in the magic of the night.
From start to finish, the evening was a masterclass in rock musicianship, storytelling, and pure, unfiltered passion—one of those nights that reminds you exactly why live music is an irreplaceable experience.
