Bleachers Ignite The Met with High-Energy Performance

Bleachers, the indie-rock pop band from Bergenfield, NJ, commanded the stage at The Met in Philly for a sold-out, adrenaline-pumping performance. The band is on tour to promote their new album, simply titled BLEACHERS.

Within minutes of Bleachers bursting onto the stage with "I Am Right on Time," I got a flashback to my teenage years, going to The Spectrum in Philadelphia to see a young Bruce Springsteen. Jack Antonoff, the band’s singer, songwriter, and frontman, has the energy and stage presence of a young Springsteen. I couldn’t believe it. He gave one of the most energetic performances I’ve seen in quite some time, engaging the packed house from the opening chords to the final bows.

The concert was amazing not just because of Antonoff’s performance but also because their music was equally amazing. Their songs’ powerful lyrics addressing issues like mental health, personal grief, emotional struggles, and heartbreak hit hard. Their upbeat and driving rhythms propel the music with intense energy.
