A Night of Metal Mastery with Mötley Crüe at the Hard Rock
When a band is genuinely having fun during a show, that high energy resonates with the audience—and that is exactly what came across as soon as Mötley Crüe took center stage at Atlantic City’s Hard Rock Casino over the weekend for two packed performances.
As the concert began, the sound of Nikki Sixx’s bass dominated the sound system. Fans not only heard his talent but could feel it as well. Sixx is not the only one who made his presence known with a bang. Drummer Tommy Lee was an explosion behind the kit. He played so hard I thought he would certainly bust a drumhead. He didn’t miss a single beat as the band started the night off with “Primal Scream.” Guitarist John 5 proved to all as he demonstrated why he is regarded as one of the most skilled guitarists in rock. His intricate finger work, speed, and precision, along with his ability to use the band’s smoke and lighting effects, left everyone in awe. Lead singer Vince Neil has the attitude, stage presence, and vocal capacity to keep the Mötley Crüe spirit alive. His soaring vocals were crisp and clear, and he was constantly in motion, making use of the whole stage, engaging the fans, and not missing a note.
The band found themselves in support of their new single, “Dogs of War,” which they introduced mid-set to thunderous applause—as much as the band’s heavy metal hits that their audience has loved for a lifetime.
It’s clear that Mötley Crüe has great chemistry and enthusiasm. Their rocking songs still hit hard and soared to the crowd that filled the Hard Rock to the rafters. And Mötley Crüe knows how to deliver those hits with a stylish stage show and impressive musicianship.
