Highly acclaimed musician, producer, and composer JaRon Marshall has recently announced a November tour in the Northeast corridor of the US and Canada. His very first show will be on November 19th at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, NJ. Best known as the keyboardist for the Grammy-nominated band Black Pumas, Marshall showcases a jazz, soul, gospel and hip-hop signature sound, which blends smooth, soulful melodies with bold rhythmic innovation.
Beyond his work with Black Pumas, JaRon is also a prolific solo artist. His 2020 EP The Black Power Tape explored Black identity and healing, while his debut album earth sounds (2023) led to a North American and European tour, with performances at festivals like Winter Jazzfest and SXSW. He’s shared stages with Vieux Farka Touré and collaborated with Adrian Quesada, earning praise from outlets like NPR and Radio France, which called earth sounds an "emotional whirlwind of great mastery."
In 2023 and 2024, Marshall released DISCOTHEQUES 001, water flows (Live at Duc des Lombards), and Nostalgia, blending jazz, electronic, and R&B, described by BET as bringing "futuristic vibes to soul music." Both as a solo artist and with Black Pumas, Marshall continues to innovate and transcend musical genres.
