Silverstein and Thursday Celebrate 25 Years of Noise at Sold Out Starland Ballroom Show

Two of emo rock’s most veteran acts Silverstein and Thursday both came together to celebrate collectively 25 years of Noise and the results were a truly exhilarating showcase of two bands that have endured their careers gracefully. Both bands have long frequented NJ clubs and venues and each one delivered truly memorable and passionate performances. In the case of Thursday, frontman Geoff Rickly came out swinging (literally) with his trademark energy and stage presence, the chemistry between band members was also seamless further solidifying why Thursday has remained one of the musically adept acts of their genre. Being a band formed in New Brunswick, Thursday brought plenty of intensity and sincerity to their hometown and Geoff Rickly expressed tremendous gratitude for their fan’s consistent loyalty. When it came time for Silverstein to hit the stage, the anticipation was at an all time high and the band pulled out all the stops for a powerhouse performance that more than delivered. Frontman Shane Told’s physical and passionate performance was endlessly captivating to watch and Silverstein’s chemistry was exhilarating as well with each band member getting their respective spotlight. The band played a strong selection of hits from seminal records such as Discovering The Waterfront and A Shipwreck In The Sand and throughout the set, each era of Silverstein was represented effectively.

With the combined passion and intensity of both acts, Silverstein and Thursday more than proved that their starpower and artistry are very much still in full effect. It isn’t always the easiest for bands to evolve organically while still maintaining their original appeal in the process. Thankfully for both Silverstein and Thursday, their evolution has only allowed their raw, insightful and vibrant sounds to grow even stronger and both acts came together for an immensely satisfying live experience! For fans of either or both acts whether firmly established or newer, this tour comes highly recommended! Be sure to follow both Silverstein and Thursday on streaming and social media platforms!
