I wish you were here to see it

For those who are old enough to have enjoyed the 80’s, you still may have missed the best three-album run of any band with the release of  King Crimson’s DisciplineBeat, and Three of a Perfect Pair. But your love of big hair bands got in the way of great music. Call it prog rock, the beginning of math rock, call it anything you’d like - but those three albums had a massive impact on the future of music.

Now - don’t confuse the BEAT tour with a King Crimson reunion. It isn’t, and it is not meant to be. You will hear a reinterpretation of those three albums by half of the musicians who played on them, along with Steve Vai and Danny Carey (drummer from TOOL). What is different here is that all four musicians seem to be having fun, smiling, and showing off - if just a little. Perhaps King Crimson as a jam band? Quite possibly.

…and let me add - the sound at the Basie was fantastic (and they have very clean bathrooms).

The truth is, if you know, you know. If you don’t know, take a moment and introduce yourself to some of the most intense music you will ever experience.

I wish you were here to see it - for Paulie
