Atlas Genius & Robert Delong - A Tour Team We Need

Only weeks after the debut of their latest album "End Of The Tunnel",  Atlas Genius performed a hyped up set at the Foundry in Philly alongside their pal Robert Delong. Atlas Genius opened up the show up with Stockholm, a song that encapsulates their vibrant energy. It started off the night with the right tone for a night of epic music. Atlas Genius quickly brought up their pal "Robby D" to add an extra layer of percussion onto one of their earliest tracks of the night. Getting to see the two of these artists play together on a tour they share was a must see for the evening. Atlas genius announced that this year was the 11th anniversary of their first album "When It Was Now", and they were super excited to celebrate the not-so-common yearly celebration by playing one of their favorite deep cuts Centred On You. Jokes about Rocky are always to be expected at a concert night in Philly and Atlas Genius did not disappoint. They rocked their cover of You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) and closed the show with their hit song Trojans. This Australian band made it an unforgettable night in Philadelphia.

Robert Delong took over the second half of the show with his 3 epic stations of sound making. The center of his stage walined with a massive toy box of wands and buttons that brought the specialty Robert Delong sound to the set. His vocals were on point and created an atmosphere everyone was thrilled to be in. Delong’s electric energy was only heightened by the light show that accompanied him on stage. At many points throughout the night, Delong went up to these light beams and played them as though it were an extra instrument, it was awesome! And such a fun way to add an extra level of showmanship to the show. Alongside his trusty soundboard, he also had a stand alone drum kit and a instrument fueled corner that had a drum and and bass propped up for use. Delong played tunes from his most recent release “PLAYLIST of DOOM” and also played some of his classic tunes like Global Concepts. His set overall was unique to any performance I have ever seen and I am better for seeing it.
